Cannabis Gummies Move Into the Multivitamin Aisle

Betty’s Eddies reveals a new twist on gummies

As cannabis brands look for new ways to reach consumers, some are developing products that look less like recreational edibles and more like daily wellness supplements.

The latest example comes from MariMed Inc.’s Betty’s Eddies™, which has introduced Betty’s Bite-A-Mins, a daily wellness chew that combines cannabinoids with a multivitamin-inspired formula.

The tropical smoothie-flavored chews combine 30mg of CBD, full-spectrum cannabis, Vitamin C, Zinc, and a full daily serving of Vitamin D3 in a gummy format. The launch shows how cannabis brands are experimenting with new ways to position cannabinoids, moving gummies closer to the functional wellness and supplement categories.

Vitamin C and Zinc are often used for immune support, while Vitamin D3 is a common part of daily vitamin routines. Adding CBD and full-spectrum cannabis gives Betty’s Eddies a new twist on the gummy category and introduces a new opportunity for the industry.

“Consumers are increasingly looking for products that fit seamlessly into their daily routines,” said Sara Rosenfield, Brand Director for Betty’s Eddies. “With Betty’s Bite-A-Mins, we listened to that feedback and created a core product that delivers a higher dose of CBD alongside vitamins many people already take every day.”

The product follows what is happening across food and beverage, as consumers look for everyday products enhanced with functional ingredients that offer more than basic nutrition.

Cannabis brands are increasingly exploring combinations of cannabinoids with vitamins, minerals, and other wellness ingredients to create products that fit into categories beyond traditional cannabis.

Rescheduling has encouraged some cannabis brands to think more like a medical market, developing products that focus on health and therapeutic applications.

Betty’s Bite-A-Mins will be available through MariMed’s Thrive Dispensary locations and other licensed cannabis retailers across Massachusetts, Maryland, Illinois, Delaware, Maine, and Rhode Island.

Betty’s Eddies shows how cannabis brands can expand the category by looking beyond traditional edibles and exploring new product formats.
